El Dorado 8-Year

For the price, this is really good deal. Excelent rum. Nice colour, nice taste, bottle is little bit on cheap side, but, who cares :)

Další z kolekce rumu z destilérny Demerara. Tento 8-mi letý je chuťově i kvalitativně velký kus nad 5-ti letým sourozencem, ale i velký kus pod 12-letým bráchou. Tady je opravdu znát, že čím starší, tím lepší.
Konkrétně osmiletý El Dorado zaujme svou do čokoládova laděnou vůní i chutí, lehce tóny dubového sudu, karamel a vanilka. Za tu cenu to není špatný rum. Nenáročným popíječům můžu doporučit.

Not good not bad either. The nose is quite pleasant with cocoa and caramel, but the sting on the alcohol doesn't let it develop. Very nice for cocktails like sugarless mojitos

I noticed an aroma that made me believe they partly used sherry casks for this one. And I wasn't quite wrong: According to the ministryofrum, they use bourbon and whisky casks, and among the latter the must also be some ex-sherry casks made of Spanish oak.

Dejlig mixer rum. Den kan dog også sagtens nydes rent.

Can be sipped, but it has a burn to it. I like smooth rums for sipping.

Good bargain rum. No crazy flavours.. a bit to strong alcholic burn for my taste.
