El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

One of the smoothest aged rums I've tried. Up there with the diplomatico vtg 2000. Long lasting finish in the mouth. Usually like an ice cube with my rum but I liked this rum better without.
Exquisite rum El Dorado 21 years, has a nice presentation, simple but colorful. When served in a glass you can appreciate aromas such as vanilla, sugar, wood, and fruits; the flavor is very balanced, a soft rum without alcoholic punch, lightly smoked and you can feel flavors like vanilla, caramel, fruit. Undoubtedly is a delicious rum.
Clear deep amber in colour; complex and intense aromas of caramel, spices, dried fruits, brown sugar, orange zest, vanilla and oak; on the palate, off-dry, with full body and velvety mouthfeel; flavours of caramel, dried fruit, banana, spice and citrus; the finish is warm and lengthy
This is a superb rum, only thing for me is i find it reminiscent of drinking very good cognac, edging towards being like a fine armagnac and would prefer it a bit more like the 15yr old, but thats just my personal feeling and still a very fine rum indeed.
This room is quite heavy for my taste, I do prefer more refined rums, but the taste does grow on you with more sips.
Disponible à la SAQ. C'est le rhum, le plus dispendieux que je me suis payé mais n'était pas mon meilleur. Par contre, je dois admettre que son classement variait pendant une dégustation de rhums, selon le type de cigares qui l'accompagnait.
Very good rum. One of my finest rum in my bar. But expensive for what it brings... But the quality is There. Still have à lot of added sugar though.
Sur le tabac, pomme et orange, quelque peu parfumé. Nez Assez léger, final en douceur, long en bouche et touche de sucre a la fin. Très diffèrent du 12 et 15ans, ne vaut pas la différence de prix. Assez déçu
One of the Greats in the Rum world. If it wasn't so expensive I would use it as a daily sipper. 15 YO is a lot cheaper, and isn't that much different. you always know that with an el dorado you are getting a true to label aged rum
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'
"El Dorado 21-Year rum review by The Ultimate RumGuide"
There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I really love the taste of ED's. This is a fine sipping rhum. Clear warm day. Good meal on the grill at the backyard, this and fine sigar! Lovely!
