El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

Deep, amber color. Smooth, so smooth. This sipper is amazing. Soft feel. Light oak, fruity, leather. Light burn. The taste remains on the tongue. Buttery, delicious.
One of the best rums I've had. If you have the opportunity to try this, do not hesitate.
This was on my want list for a long time. Tastes wonderful but I might just prefer the 15 year. I got a bottle of this and every time I would drink it I would get really bad heartburn afterwards because it was so sweet and syrupy. I would definitely recommend though and will probably get another bottle at some point.
Just started a new job and my wife bought me this as a gift. The El Dorado 12 is my go to rum. This is so much more complex a rum. This is not as sweet as the 12 but is just as thick in the mouth. Definitely let it sit in your glass before sipping let it breath a little . You will not be disappointed.
Unlike the lower aged el dorado's, carries a fantastic vanilla flavour on the nose. Devoid of any oak. Light banana, apricot, fruit tones adorn the tongue, a mild cherry taste accenting everything. Carries the fruity essences right through the finish into the aftertaste. An absolute treat. Going to rate this a 9 out of respect for the highest end rums El Dorado has to offer still. Could very easily be a 10 from me for taste alone, but I assume the brand can do even better.
A rum to celebrate turning 65! A little smoky, just the right amount of bite/heat. Amazing viscosity/mouthfeel. Lots of vanilla, brown sugar. Very special.
What can I say, this is an excellent rum. Everything someo e could desir. Not able to give a 10 as for the price range and its display box (really cheap cardboard). Thia was a lovely gift from my wife. Only 2 glasses left in the bottle and keeping it for a special occasion.
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'
"El Dorado 21-Year rum review by The Ultimate RumGuide"
There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."

This is a great sipping rum and it’s very smooth. So smooth that if you drink it on the rocks it has zero burn in the finish. Tastes like a delicious caramel treat. You’d be hard pressed to find a 21 year old that costs less than this one, so it’s actually a good value despite being around $90-$100 Canadian. I highly recommend this if you’re in the market for your first 20+ year old rum.
