El Dorado 21 is produced near the equator in Guyana by Demerara distillery. The final product is a blend of rums, aged between 21 and 25 years and crafted using 100% locally sourced Demerara sugar. Traditional tools are used in the distilling processes including three unique wooden stills. The rums rest until maturity in 45 gallon oak casks.

I love this rum! The 21yr is probably the spiciest rum I have in my colllection. Its warm baking spice flavors are very satisfying. This sipper can be a little hot sometimes which is why I have not given it a 10. With that said, I think it would be a crime to mix anything with this. Neat is the only way to enjoy it to the fullest
This rum is a good rum with a light and spicy flavour. It was very smooth but doesn't stand out in any particular way. The El Dorado 15 year old actually has more character.
I really like this one but the price is prohibitive. It smells and tastes like oak and the smoothness is crazy good.
Having already tasted the 3, 5, 12 and 15 (somehow forgot to taste the 8), it is only natural to move on to the next in line from the main El Dorado line-up
Nose: Tobacco, brown sugar, cinnamon, toffee and wood
Taste: Smoked wood, coffee, raisin, vanilla and dates with a flavorful, but a little to short aftertaste
Overall: This rum is clearly a step up from its brothers. It packs a lot more flavor into the glass, so if you are into the Demerara-rums, then this should be right up your alley. For me it is a really good glass of rum and with a longer aftertaste and maybe a slightly higher ABV it would get a better mark, but a great bang for your buck
I've only got a few real favorites, this one is like #2 for me. The price and the quality together make this one an all around true favorite.
Doesn't wrench tears when I pay for it, it looks great and smells great. It's a sweeter rum but not syrupy or artifical. Nice molasses and spice flavor and smell. There's some kind of hint of fruit to it but can't quite put my finger on it. One of the few rums that actually smell and tastes exactly the same.
I'll buy this one again at just under 60. Legit and real deal. Great stuff for real.
This review is for a bottle produced in 2012. It tasted like liquid raisins very sweet. Tastes like sweet marsalla to me more than anything. Better off picking up a bottle of that for 5 or 10 bucks.
Really impressive! Strong smell of oak, after that o coffee flavour and aftertaste is vanilla.
A classic recipe baut this is almost perfectly done!
Just a little bit more alcohol for the first stroke. But insignificant as a total.
Smoother and softer than the 15. Fun to taste, as flavors seem to reveal themselves with every sip.
Bon rhum de dégustation, j'ai goûté à mieux pour moins chers.
'spice nose with hints of honey and dark sugar'

There is an extra layer of oak in the profile.
"Notes of oak and a slight spiciness also comes through. The rum is very smooth and easy drinking but complex enough to ensure you savour each sip of the drink. The finish is long lasting."

Very nice, quite soft, velvety, smooth, warmth and not hot at all. Excellent sipper on summer or winter, defenetly a favourite!
