Doorly's XO 6-Year

At under 90 aud a bottle it is very good drop really nice not as good as other doorlys but again alot cheaper and one you can sip straight and not rough.the sherry casks come through and I can detect stone fruits and even a touch of berryness to it

Honestly, better than I expected it would be. For a $20 bottle, this is very good. On the sweeter side but from what I understand, no added sugar or color. A classic bajan style, very sweet nose with toasted coconut, warm spices, maple and wood and old books. The palate is sweet with spiced fruits, oak and molasses. Very very easy going down on its own. I’d call this sort of Canadian whiskey of rums. Very good and worth every penny.

One of those rums that was exactly as I expected it to be. Nice and flavoursome with long tastes and a nice little tanin hit to finish. Will enjoy this bottle but unlikely to purchase again as importing costs are high.

The title says it all. For the price, this one is hard to fault. It's a nice sipper without any overpowering additions.

My third Doorly’s sample is the Doorly’s XO rum. Having been spoiled with the 12 yr and specially the 8 yr version this one falls well behind the other two. While I only drink my rum neat I presume the XO would be a good mixer.

Pour this over ice, give it a few stirs to dilute, and you're in for a good night no matter what. And at its price range (sub-$20), it can't be beat.

Decent rum with solid taste and reasonable price. It has a permanent place in my collection.
