Barbados | Aged | 43% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Produced in Barbados by master distiller Richard Seale, the rums in Doorly XO have been aged a minimum of 6 years before finishing in Olorosco sherry casks. The second maturation in sherry casks is rare and gives Doorly XO its unique flavour.

Just finished the bottle of my first Doorly's. Great rum and almost comparable in plenty of flavour to the new MGXO which I adore. Its good neat or as a mixer. Wonderful standout flavours with a dry finish. Just a little too much burn for regular sipping for me. Will add to the rotation to keep the regulars "fresh". Recommend this and look forward to the rest of the offerings. Almost an 8.
Edit - I have since indulged in more of this rum and have grown to understand its quality in greater detail. It is now an easy 8.
This is the first bottle of Doorly's I've had and I was satisfied. Not too sweet, and smooth. I would buy again.
I was looking for an medium aged rum to used in cocktails. I decided to try this one after reading multiple reviews. I have not been disappointed. It is great in mixing, and also good on its own or with one other ingredient. As with all Barbados rum, there is no sugar adulteration, so if you are looking for sweet this is not your rum.
easy Barbados sipper with nosing and palate dominated by vanilla and light tropical fruit aroma - much lighter flavor concentration compared to the Doorly 12 year. However, good price/value relationship. The flavor profile is rather monotonous and the finish rather short. Real grade is 6,8.
Very fine, sweet spicy nose with a jummy after taste. Pretty recommendable
I'm on my second bottle of this rum and I've finally gotten around to reviewing it. Let me start off by saying that I prefer this rum to the 12 year, but they'er quite close for me & this is probably a personal preference for the Sherry cask flavor over the more bitter oak flavor.
Sipped neat, this rum has a little sweetness on the nose, which overall is quite subdued. A tiny bit of smokiness is there as well. Not a whole lot going on nose-wise, though, which is what I've come to expect from a Barbados rum.
Taste is remarkably smooth. There's a touch of sweetness & a very mild bitterness. This rum is definitely sippable.
Pretty good as a mixer, I've put this in many cocktails over the course of my several bottles. It's not going to steal the show, but it's a great canvas to paint on and blend with other ingredients.
I've seen this bottle on sale at Total Wine for $16.99 which is a shockingly low price for such a great product. There's little doubt in my mind that, although this isn't the best rum, Doorly's XO is the best value out there. I keep this in stock at all times.
In allem: geht so, dafür mir leicht zu scharf, würde ich nicht kaufen.
Seznámeni se s papoušky z Barbadosu. Ovocná vůně, v chuti kořeni s hrejivym závěrem. Z testované trojice mi chutnal i voněl nejméně. Vracet se k němu asi nebudu.
It has that distinctive light and fruity Bajan nose. .
"It’s nicely balanced and subtle on the nose. The rum is initially quite sweet with notes of toffee, banana, a little orange and citrusy lemon/lime. The finish is long and quite spicy with a hint of oak."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Great easy sipping dry Barbados rum, without anything too distinctive.
