this is simply the best rum you can have for sipping - rich but smooth, lovely!
I just started drinking rum. Friend got me hooked after a Don Pappa Barokko.
This rum was one of the first intasted after that. Was nice but bit "sharp" for me.
Desde que lo probé me gustó mucho, muy diferente a todos los rones que había tomado, un dulce elevado, pero agradable, se toma a las rocas perfectamente. Un aroma a jerez muy marcado. Totalmente distinto. Por eso tiene un9
The first sipping rum I was given as a present. It is a tad sweet but very, very smooth and enjoyable.
The bottle is covered with a plastic foil so it would look like something fancy or something extra. Not a good sign. Also the name of the rum tries to give a picture of it self as something mysterious and almost out of reach. After the first taste it should have stayed that way. I had difficulties to find out a way to get it into my system without getting ill because of that unpleasant taste.
Better then Mamtuano. Not so sharp, you can feel that it is older.
A super smooth, rich, deep rum. Full of warmth and smoothness.
The aroma, the body, the finish - perfection! It’s been my favourite since the first sip.
"The palate evokes chocolate sauce and the sweet toffee, fudge and tropical fruit flavours from the nose"
"The nose is dominated by notes of caramel, toffee and crème. On the back end of the aromas, I can detect a hint of smoke and pineapple"

Smells sweet. It is fruity, oranges, grapes and raisins with scents of chocolate and a sweet almost syrupy.
"The tasting notes on the site are very accurate vanilla, fudge/toffee sauce are noticeable as are notes of vanilla and a finish which is slightly bitter like cocoa which leaves a hit of oakiness on the taste buds. The finish is pretty short. ."

over caramelised and a bit treacly, a good dessert rum or for those who prefer their rums more like liqueur. Worth a try and also worth having for sharing sweet after dinner party drams or for those friends girlfriends who like their sweet stuff.
