Diplomatico Ambassador Selection is a limited edition rum crafted from 100% still pot rums and aged for a minimum of 12 years. Like its counterparts, the rum originates from Venezuela and is aged in ex-bourbon casks. The rum has a high strength and does not contain any sweeteners, caramel or other additives which means it does not require chill filtration.

Reserva eclusivia is better and has more flavour but this is still aged and amazong depth of flavour
After 40-50 rums over the last 3 years this is it. My first and maybe only 10. From our group of four , ALL four found it the best we ever tasted. I don't want to spoil the taste. If you are serious about rum, buy it eyes closed, taste it eyes closef and enjoy the trip this rum will take you. I was surprised it didn't folow the orange and green diplomatico taste. It's a taste on its own.
The god of rum. All hail the ambassador
Well, I expected more from this rum...it's so strong for me. You have to leave it much time in the glass. I lost my patience with it.
Nose: Fruity and thick nose with almond, hazelnut and cocoa. Toffee apples, fruits and hints of cooked banana, juicy sherry and mince pies, alongside deep notes of cinnamon and potpourri.
Palate: Rich and fruity with a buttery biscuit base, cinnamon, dried apricots, dates and Nutella. The predominant flavour, however, is of really good sweet pipe tobacco. Stunning.
Finish: Long and fruity with sweet, thick honey and allspice.
One of the best rum I have ever tasted. Smooth, but not that sweet as D. Exclusiva.
One of the best rums I have ever had. A bit expensive though, but if you have the money, go for it!
Really nice, also the girls liked it. And us the men too. If you have the opportunity, try it!

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
