Average taste with an average aroma and smell. Middle of the road rum.
Prefer spiced, this aftertaste left something to be desired.
I searched thir out after trying their Grand Reserve, Spiced Rums and Coffee Rums at a NH tasting. They had a tasting in Northern Mass so I went. My comments on the Spiced, Coffee and Grand Reserve still hold. All Amazing. The "Rumson's Rum" is very very good. Not as full bodied as the Grand Reserve but a fabulous aged rum that can be sipped or cocktailed. I found it a bit lighter and warmer then the Grand Reserve and a bit more floral. Very good. Best cocktailed, on rocks or with a splash of water. My new go to for Rum Sour.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

It must be fun to buy cheap rum from other countries, mix them together like a bunch of amateurs, then slap your own label on it. Basically these guys are rum pirates. A boring product, reminds me of an aged barcardi or flor de cana. Just dull..
nose is thin and alcohol heavy, astringent.
coloration a pale gold, just weak.
flavor is average. nothing special going on whatsoever.
