A bit harsh but I like a long and quite complex finish
I have never heard of this rum so I went in with open eyes. It’s a nice cane juice rum with notes of fruit and and ginger. The first taste is very fruity and grassy.
All in all a nice and interesting try.
Some brown sugar and pencil shavings on the nose. Pretty smooth, not super flavorful for a pot distilled rum.
Tried the st Andre series, specifically the grankaz. Weird name amazing rum. It's a blend of their own 4 year aged in New French oak and foursquare 8 year. How could you go wrong. Has a lovely light toasty jammy taste, and a delightful tingly finish. This is good stuff and I'll be on the watch for it again.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

8:On the nose this fairly beautiful rum is very floral integrated with notes of toasted vanilla, oak, tropical fruit, creamy butterscotch, soft caramel, a touch vanilla and sweet marzipan.
7,5:On the palate it is rich, with tanins of toasted oak, notes of vanilla,
juicy fruits, again butterscotch, underneath bursts roasted black pepper, Bajan caramel, butterscotch and delicious poached fruits.
7,3:The finish is long lasting with tanins of toasted oak and peppery. All is well rounded and smooth as summer sunshine running through the blue skies.
