Project #173 Black Cherry

On the nose; predominantly black cherry, strong ethonol that pushes away other notes.
On the tongue; lovely complex, warm and smooth at first, less cherry then on the nose, going into molasses, giving away to a pepper note and a lingering molasses with just a slight alcohol burn.

On the nose this rum smells like Cherry flavoured Tunes, which in my world is most certainly a good thing! Neat, Project #173 Black Cherry is rather pleasant. It’s sweet, has very little alcohol burn and is deliciously moreish from the black cherry flavouring, which although strong, isn’t too artificial in the taste. Mind you, there is a distinct lack of said black cherry in the finish, I have to say. If you mix this rum with Pepsi and turn it into a long drink, it basically becomes an alcoholic version of Pepsi Max Cherry. Which again in my world is absolutely definitely a positive thing!
