I picked up a bottle of this at Total Wine & More, on sale. Had not seen it before, so thought that I would give it a whirl.
There is not a lot going on on the nose. Fairly muted with some faint aroma of caramel but not much else.
This is probably the smoothest rum I have ever tasted. There is no heat whatsoever. It is almost about the same amount of heat as a glass of wine. The initial flavor is caramel and butterscotch, with very muted hazelnut and a very slight burnt edge to it. Makes my brain think that it is super sweet, but it is not.
Mouth feel is very light and dilute and the finish is fairly short and one-noted.
This is a pleasant sipper but it's not anything special and not worth the price tag.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
