A legyengése fantasztikus ,vibráló, melengetÅ‘, hosszú, picit zöldbanános fűszeres !! Bravó
Managed to pick this up on sale and I wasn't really sure to treat this as a rum to sip neat or in cocktails. Although delicious it is neat I much prefer it in a rum old fashion
Don't really know what to say about this sipper. It has a pounch in its alcohol taste but its not the most taste worthy rum. Not to bad but I would go for something more tasty ifs could.
Ah, the aroma is great but there's too much alcohol burn. It's almost great. Just needs a tiny bit of refinement. Worth a buy for the price.
Got this for christmas not a bottle i would pick up for myself but was nicely suprised a decent sipper sweet nose sligjtly oaky woody from the barrel aging sweet in the finish but not overly so one for sipping not mixing.
Rather strong rum, taste of oak & bourbon, a bit vanille, strong and a bit smoked finish.
Average.
It's odd this one is so heavy on the 6-8 rating split.
Definite bourbon notes here, but as a warming, smoky oaked rum with a hint of maple, this is eminently enjoyable and worth a try. Only a slight burn at the end to remind you you're drinking rum.
6/10 Tasty, but not quite great. good to try once :-)
Good for mixing, I can make some fire mojitos with this, not meant for sipping. I’ve tasted neat and its just not hitting the mark for me, you can taste a lot of the ethanol flavor. Nice lookig bottle tho.
A nice balanced Bajan nose with a little extra spicy kick to it.
"Sipped the Black Barrel certainly gives some of the oaky notes of a bourbon but also makes the mouth water."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Currently this is my go-to as an all-around winner my cabinet can't be without.Versatile as a mixer or tolerable over ice, I'd rate it a 7.5 climbing toward 8 based on the price point and may actually prefer it to the XO.
Edit: This is no longer the bargain it used to be. At one time I could obtain 750ml for $27.99 regular price or $22.99 on sale. Now that it's gone up to $44.99 for the same product, I'll pass. It's not XO (which has also gone up substantially). As a result I've downgraded my rating to a 6.
