The flavor of this Rum changes every time I sip it. Don’t wait to taste it after you pour and don’t let it sit uncorked. You will get different flavors with every sip over a two hour period. Definitely the most fun for identifying component flavor. A great twelve year, not as single minded as say an El dorado 12 year and one to keep on hand.
A smooth, easy drinking rum at a great price. Also a good entry level rum given the nose and mouth feel at the low price point. Will always have around!
This beats Diplomatico, Zacapa and El Dorado in my opinion and that is because is not overly sweet like all of the others, its smooth and does not have all that extra added sugar. So far my favorite of the Dominican Rums!
This is probably the best 12 year I’ve ever tasted. Dying to try the 18. Very sippable. Great bargain.
This stuff is awesome. Dark color. Very smooth and a sweetness that reminds me of dark brown sugar. Mixes well but can stand alone by itself. I’ve always used rum as a mixer, but this one makes a fine sipper, straight up. Definitely a top-shelfer. I actually found a fifth of this for $31.99 USD. A bourbon of this quality would have easily been $60-70 USD.
Above average aged rum with no added sugars. Light vanilla with a spicy finish. Doesn't have the full complexity to be a true sipper, imho.
I really like the design of the bottle. A tip of the hat to the rum runners of the prohibition era. The rum it self needs a minute to decant. Then the nose is very nice. A good sipper or mixer.
I got this for pretty good price, 30.
Its not bad but a bit flat. Flavors, are there but die fast. Ill use it for mixed drinks. Doesnt come near the el dorado 15 which is only 10 bucks more
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I found a bottle of this up in Cape Cod for $35 USD, and promptly purchased it.
Aged this long, it could probably be a bit smoother but other than that it is a very delicious rum. It smells incredible and the flavor is great on the front of the tongue. Again, it could be smoother at this age but that doesn't take away from the experience.
