Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

Vanilla cream sweet punch nose. Sweet creamy smooth vanilla body like cheese cake... caramelly and syrupy... not really any aging present... enough sweetness to cover anomalies and to feel like cocktail mix...Long sweet vanilla fruity end...
It’s a flavoured rhum, enhanced with cane syrup which dope the original taste of the product. In fact the very noticeable fruit and vanilla flavours are so exaggerated to feel like artificial. Because of that it’s quite difficult to appreciate any other possible flavour. It’s sweet and very smooth: it’s perfect if you offer it in a party where quantity is more important than quality.
Distinct vanilla caramel scent...but overbearing on the palate. Maybe good with desserts

The label and presentation is cool, the juice is not even Rum. Just aromas with industrial alcohol. No small batch ... The distillery doesn't even exist. 100% marketing fake. Just google it and you will find much about this impressive fake.
Not the best rum I have tasted. But is ok mixed with some cola .. won't buy it myself....
This was a bit too fruity for me. Difficult to explain, but the taste after was not that great. I woul’t recommend it...
this truly isn't a good rum, way to many artificial flavors. an abundance of caramel is very easily detectable, this is pretty much the only thing that you can taste in this rum, not much going on further.
Tento rum sa tazko porovnava s inymi rumami, pretoze je naozaj velmi sladky a ma silnu vanilkovu aromu . Osobne mi celkom chutil, ale asi s nim asi nebude vsetko koser, sudiac podla hodnoteni, ktore dostava.

Found this rum and liked the looks and the hinted vanilla taste. Tried it and it indeed does have a somewhat enjoyable vanilla taste. Nothing to special and not one to sip and enjoy, but if you're into mixing when you're having a drink with some friends it's rather nice with a coke. Due to the vanilla taste it gave me a taste I would compare to vanilla coke.
All around, an enjoyable rum to mix, but wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a nice rum to sip and enjoy.
