Philippines | Aged | 40% ABV
Don Papa Small Batch Rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company on the southern island of Negros in the Philippines. The rum is distilled from molasses, then aged for over 7 years in American oak barrels, and lastly charcoal filtered.
The name Don Papa rum was inspired by Papa Isio, a leader of the Philippine revolution against the Spanish who led his island to independence before joining the main revolutionary movement.

Sometimes I like to drink a glass with ice - but a bit too sweet.
Kann man abends mal gern ein Glas trinken, trinkt die Frau auch mit...
I could hardly call this a rum. From the start you feel the smell of sweetness and powerful vanilla flavor. The first sip is alcoholic, sweet and liquorish. I didn't enjoy it too much.
nechutnal..............................................NE
Jeden z mých nejoblíbenějších.. Vyvážená krémová chuť.
Mycket kola vanilj, lite konstlad lukt men speciell på både bra och dåligt sätt.
I enjoy this rum. It has some nice flavors and is pretty smooth.
A little bit sweet. A kind of cookie. Very flavoured.

Smells a lot like a vanilla and lemonade ice cream float.
"For all its sweet sugariness, its really very drying and bitter on the palate once it all settles down."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The initial aroma and flavour is very sweet and full of banana. Once settled more aniseed flavours start to emerge. A combination that might not be suitable and might be a bit too strong for some. It is very smooth and easily sipped on ice so should be a compliment in a contain arsenal.
