Bacardi Superior Rum is the original Bacardi rum, dating back to 1862 when Don Facundo Bacardi Massó purchased his first rum distillery in Cuba. 150 years later, Bacardi Superior is now manufactured in Puerto Rico, but the recipe remains largely the same.

A unique strain of yeast discovered in the Cuban sugarcane fields is used to produce Bacardi Superior rum. The rum is filtered through charcoal, a process pioneered by Bacardi, before and after it is aged in oak barrels for at least one year.

Some would chuckle, but in my collection of rum I still keep a bottle of Bacardi and a bottle of the Cap'n. They don't sell this for you to sip, but there's a lot of history, and a decent rum that comes out nicely in a Cuba Libre (with Coca Cola and a wedge of lime).

Another dissatisfied customer with this bottle. Bacardi has got into the habit of just throwing bottles out as fast as possible to make money, with almost no quality.

Nothing more to say except it’s only useful as an alcohol adder that won’t ruin your drink if it’s drowned out by everything else.

Un ron de baja calidad que cumple la función de embriagar y pasar un buen rato con tus amigos.

It may not be the highest quality Spanish style light rum, but it gets the job done. Unlike a lot of Spanish style light rums, especially Puerto Rican ones, it actually has plenty of aroma and flavor, and is smooth enough. There's never any question that it's a rum It won't let you down in any drink. Obviously, Havana Club (I'm talking about actual Havana Club, not Bacardi's knockoff) is much better, but if you're in the US and can't get Havana Club, this rum won't let you down. Caña Brava and Cruzan (and maybe Brugal) would probably serve you better as Cuban-style rums, but if you can't find those brands, this will work. Choose it over Don Q Cristal or Flor de Caña extra seco, both of which (especially the former) are short on flavor

It's not rum. It's for drunk chicks to stick in cocktails. If you go on a date and she orders a Bacardi and coke- dump her immediately, get a kebab and count yourself lucky.

What can I say, to me it is like most Bacardi rums, all name and no quality.
This is a rum to stay away from. Not any where near the top rums out there.
