A very modest inscription at the bottom of the label "selected spices" tells the truth, pleasant aroma and taste. The rum base is faintly distinguishable. It's too much sugar, so I won't recommend it for cocktails. But as a digestif, I put 6/10 for its low price.

Toto plnění je kolaborací mezi týmem LMDW (New Vibrations) a master blenderem Cyrilem Mangalem. Tento rum zrál 15 let v tropech v sudu po bourbonu (č. 0619112005).

Aroma: Spousta tropického ovoce (banány, ananas, pomeranče) mísící se s hutnou techničností (kolomaz, motorový olej). Dále lze cítit starý nábytek a mikrozávan vanilky a kokosu. Nádherná vůně.
Chuť: Velmi hutná ovocnost mísící se s těžkou techničností (dehtovitost).
Dozvuk: Dehet, nafta, olej a šťavnatá ovocnost neustále se mezi sebou mísící. Na patře zůstává na chvíli i sušené ovoce. Dlouhý a extrémně suchý.
Sladkost: 0/3
Ochutnán vzorek, celá lahev
Hodně mi připomínal letošní Last Ward 2007, ale Chairman's má k velké techničnosti více ovocných tónů a navíc stojí zhruba o polovinu méně. Vzorek byl za 9+/10, po přechutnání po koupi lahve zvyšuji na 10/10. Zatím nejlepší rum, co jsem letos ochutnal.

Vyrobeno bylo 260 lahví.

Aroma: Opálené dřevo, popel, alkoholová ostrost, tropické ovoce (banány, pomela), štiplavé koření (hřebíček), pikantní vanilka, slaná bbq omáčka. Na pozadí nepatrný závan nemocniční dezinfekce.
Chuť: Velmi hořká čokoláda, pražené ořechy, opálené dřevo, nepatrný dojem domácí pálenky. Příjemně štiplavá.
Dozvuk: Hořká čokoláda a kakao, opálené dřevo, pálenka, kořenitost se špetkou zemitosti. Dlouhý.

Ochutnán vzorek
Dobrý Port Mourant rázu kontinentálního staření. Pochutnal jsem si.

Jedná se o blend dvou rumů z destilerií New Yarmouth a Worthy park. Oba byly stařeny v sudech po bourbonu necelých 5 let. Poté probíhalo ještě kontinentální zrání po dobu 8 let v sudech po koňaku Ferrand.

Rum byl součástí série New Vibrations představenou na Whisky Live Paris 2023.

Aroma: Pronikavé, štiplavé - kyselé ovoce (pomeranče, broskve), rozkvetlé květiny, třtina, zatuchlina, mokré ztrouchnivělé dřevo. Snad i závan pikantní vanilky a domácí pálenky.
Chuť: Ovocná, silně koňaková, dřevitá, štiplavá.
Dozvuk: Špendlíky, mirabelky, drobně pikantní kořenitost a úplně na závěr trocha rozinek. Velmi dlouhý.

Tipoval jsem Monymusk, nakonec to byla výrazně koňaková směska New Yarmouth a Worthy Parku. Zajímavé a dobré plnění, ale vzorek stačil.
