Hi Andy, I think it's not possible to find out this, it's probably a business secret. I never found in any case, just a hint of information of the distilleries....

I don't have any additional insights to share, other than I wish there was some kind of mark the seal that validated when rums are 'pure' - seems like a lot of folks would like to see something like that....

Hi, I just ordered a Clement Single Cask, I also start to enjoy more and more Agricole. The most amazing is I like many white Agricole much more than so other "premium" type of rum...

I'm going to the UK one. It's indeed a shame they are at the same time as the small distilleries and indie bottlers don't have the staff to visit both at the same time so have to pick 1 to go to....

Depends on a number of variable, in my opinion! Do you want sweet or dry? Dark or light? Jamaican or Bajan? Agricole rhum, Cachaca or rum? Spiced or not? Aged, or not? Price range? Floral or Fruity? You definitely have a plethora of choices as the rum industry continues to provide us with an influx of new rums as well as new distilleries, especially in the States....

I just tried the Ron Esclavo XO Cask, and it is EASILY the best +55% rum I've ever had. In fact, it's one of the best rums I've ever had period, regardless of strength! It's a bit sweet, but that's one of the reasons why I like it so much!!!...

I have always thought about cloning the RR site and launching something for Whisky - to be honest the only thing preventing it is needing a database and all the images cut out for the cabinet. Will have a think about how that would be possible, was tough enough for RR but there are so many more whiskys in the world......

I really enjoy this rum as well. We did a tasting at my company a few weeks back and everyone loved it and was amazed that a rum could taste so good. How little some people know about good rum....

If you click 'Rums' in the black bar at the top. It will take you to the rums database. You will have 3 drop down menus: Type / Location / Company. Select location to choose the country and then the listing below will update with only rums from that country. By default they will be sorted by popularity, select rating on top left of list and they will be listed by rating. Is this what you are looki...

Hello guys! I just keep them away from direct sunlight and havenโt found out that thatโs harming the taste. By the way how fun should it be to hide the bottles, I mean that thatโs a part of the fun to actually see your bottles in your private rum bar when you choose what you or your guests want to taste....

Well, the Exeter rum festival certainly didn't disappoint, other than it rained all day. A large selection of rums, over 50 were on offer, and I have to admit to sampling most. The only downside to the day was after leaving, I managed to drop a bottle of Neptune 3 yr old, and had to literally stand there and watch it disappear down a drain๐ก Why me? For those who have not tried this offering, i...

Wow, you have tasted a lot of good Cuban Rums Elgrande. Might very well go back to Cuba again next year and intend on bringing back a few more good Bottles of Rum. I really enjoy the taste of Cuban Rum, authentic, unlike many sugar bombs that are now on the market. I regret not bringing back a bottle of Seleccion de Maestro but certainly will on my next trip. ...

Just catching up on this thread - I was at a Duppy Share tasting in London when they instructed the group to add a few drops of water after the initial taste. I have to say, for most rums a few water drops definitely brought out flavors I didn't notice before. I say go for a little water - especially if at the end of a tasting it really can't hurt much....

I rate them all as if they're in one category - "rum". :-) You're right, light rums will typically be rated lower that way, but you can always filter on the light rums to see which light rums are best against each other....
