Blend of jamaican(hampden estate), barbados(foursquare) guyanese and trinidad rums, bottled at 57%, not sure about dosage, caramel colour probably added.
Quick sample.
Nose: first impressions i get of this is a mixture of Myers and El Dorado 8 with lots of standard dark funk flavour, also quite strong rum raisin type notes, lots of Guyana burnt caramel notes and then some of the so called chocolate,
light molasses sweetness.
Tasting reveals bit dry harsh kick, trini column still adds quite a lot of lightness when compared to the very rich nose.
Maybe not for the common "sugared xo rum connoiseur" but this is a very good value mixer for tiki fans so thumbs up from me.
Not a supper in my opinion, however, I think it’s worth keeping on hand to mixup your normal cocktails with something pretty unique, affordable, and easier to find than most Jamaican dark rums besides Myers. This rum brings lots of funk with a hot and dry finish that works in virtually any cocktail calling for a dark Jamaican rum. Although this rum isn’t 100% Jamaican, it still brings that funk and flavor profile needed to offset sweeter style rums.
міцність майже не відчувається. незрозуміло навіщо робити мікси з таких ромів, але нехай. ром, без сумнівів, не для кожного. якщо вам подобається ямайка із ароматом розчинювача або післясмаку клею "момент" - сміливо беріть )
strength is almost not felt. it is not clear why to make mixes from such rums, but let it. rum, without a doubt, is not for everyone. if you like jamaica rums with the aroma of a solvent or the aftertaste of glue - feel free to take it)
Würzig, sprittig, aber trotzdem gut. Eigentlich nicht meine Art Rum, aber weiß irgendwie trotzdem zu überzeugen. Trotz Prozente gut pur zu genießen
On the rocks, lots of Jamaican funk flavor, smooth, strong.
rum tastes harsh and nasty. challenging to use even as a mixer
The nose has a strong vanilla note.
"The finish is hot and spicy – full of pepper and plenty menace."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Medium body. A bit harsh on first taste until your palate adjusts to the slightly higher than usual ABV. Notes of caramel and molasses, some chocolate, with a respectable amount of funk from the Jamaican component, but the Barbados sweetness seems most prominent out of the islands used for this blend, Has more personality than Appleton Signature that makes this an appealing choice for (surprise) tiki drinks and could stand alone in builds that usually call for multiple. The rums used are a bit on the immature side, which is somewhat apparent in the slightly harsh nose and makes me suspicious of the dark color. Slightly cheaper options bear similar traits, but I’m glad to have tried it nonetheless. Alongside some 151, it added some appealing layers to a Jet Pilot cocktail. Worth a try for the curious mixologist
