The only thing I remember is a burning aftertaste.
Poor quality in comparison to similar priced rums. Tastes a bit flat with no warmth.
Banana greets the nose and is the overwhelming flavour of the palate. The blend of rums in this navy blend gives it complexity, but this is lost in the strong banana and hot finish unfortunately. I've no doubt that the longer aged releases from this make would be superior and I'd be very interested to try them. For this one though, I'd prefer other navy blends. UPDATE: after trying a bottle from a family member, I'm warming to this rum. This bottle is not as banana forward as the sample I tried earlier. It is a fairly light rum, but has some depth to it from the blends which adds complexity. It is more Bajan than I remember my first tasting, and less Jamaican.
first bottle of this brand for me, liked it alot!
nice taste and nose
Nice notes of chocolate and coffee.
"Quite bitter with lots of treacly molasses and a real array of spices – lots of oak and ginger, with a touch of cinnamon and anise. Finish wise it is a reasonable length."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Decent rum, but I would always pick El Dorado 12yo over this one, its better and even cheaper.
