Warm, brown sugar, raisins… mmmmmmm. I love a good navy rum, and this is that. Bottled slightly over proof, it packs a lot of flavor. Even for a Jamaican rum, which is saying something. This will stand up to your cola. It will stand up to your painkiller, even. In a very pleasant way. I drink this from the bottle, but then, I’m a little crazy.
Can't get over this stuff, my current number 1. I've tired a few different Jamaican pot stills and this one takes the cake. The nose is pretty tropical with light spices, and does not prep you for the chaos soon to commence. Funk overload. Like that final drop on a roller coaster except you're riding a grilled plantain with no seatbelt and everything's on fire. I love it, but theres no chance I'm having that neat on the rocks. This is an incredible rum that brings a completely different essence to any cocktail, especially with tropical fruits. I've blended this with Bajan's and Jamaicans to really unleash the beast in my tikis, and have heard it's quite interesting paired with agricole. Lot of possibilities here.
This is like the old Jamaican rums...no caramel or added colours, just a sharp rush of flavour and a searing blast from the high proof. Not to be sipped without adding plenty of water. Beyond the heat, this is a wonderful crisp rum with lingering fruits (think cherries and ripe banana) and none of the overwhelming sweetness. This one brightens up any tiki drink and allows the rum to shine through anything you dress it with. Amazing, breathtaking and unforgettable.
Skvělá poměr ceny / kvality. Pro Jamajské fanoušky nutnost mít doma. Za tu cenu dávám 9.
Found this by accident in a bar and asked to try neat. Loved it and got another! Wonderful flavors once you get past the sting. Would highly recommend!
Love this rum. It has a couple cocktail recipes on the label. I like it neat, and I’m away in the history of rum.
My secret weapon in any tiki drink calling for aged Jamaican rum even great on its own or just in an old fashioned.
a bit bitter..and it got ATTITUDE

The smell is rich, sugary, heavy molasses.
"It leaves a long lasting tingle on the tongue and in the roof of your mouth. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Nose - Interesting jamaican hogo funk with leather, barbequed meat, demerara sugar, vanilla, pineapple, overripe mangos with a touch of smoke. Taste - Strong alcohol awakens the taste buds with dark and spicy spices, vanilla and butterscotch. Lighter fruit flavours of grilled pineapple, overripe banana, apple, stone fruits, oak and leather. The finish is medium with a lingering touch of syrup, overripe mango, dried fruits and spices.
A good value alternative to the high end navy strength and overproofs.
