Loving my puertorrican rum! Sweet beginning with a strong long lasting finish.
Definitely unique. Spanish overproof is not something you see often. This one is delicious. Strong on the nose with diesel, and wet tobacco. Vanilla, black pepper, and fig on the pallet. This rum doesn’t play around.
This one definitely doesn't sneak up on you - it comes full force right out of the gate. The strength can almost overpower any other flavors, and for our money, we like to stretch it with a couple of drops of water or an ice cube. This is definitely for sipping - slowly - and enjoying your afternoon. Peppery, not sweet at all, but a long finish that, once you get past the burn, is really quite pleasant.
I’ve never seen an overproof spanish style rum before. The extra proof adds a kick and intensity that’s missing from other middle of the road spanish rums. I really like this one for what it is
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This product is 138 proof and taking that into consideration, it's pretty damn good! It's lightly aged and has a bit of burn and bite to it but it tastes good and isn't as bad in your mouth as you might think. It's perfect for your Piña Colada or if you want to drink it straight, it goes well with a cube of coconut water ice! At $20, it's worth a try!
