Santa Teresa 1796 rum is produced in Venezuela and aged using the solera system that blends rums aged between 4 and 35 years. Before bottling, the rum is aged for a further year in large French oak casks to marry the blends.
This rum was first created in 1996 to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the distillery, the Santa Teresa Hacienda.

Pierwsze wrażenia świetne. Piękna, klasyczna butelka, wspaniały kolor. Po otwarciu fantastyczny aromat. Niemniej jednak smak trochę rozczarował. Dość płaski, dopiero po kilku łykasz czuć przyjemny after taste. Być może zbyt rozbudzone oczekiwania przez pierwsze wrażenia? Tak czy inaczej warty spróbowania.
Bruine lekkere rum lichte vanille en notensmaak. Lekker
Aroma is sweet with charred wood.
Taste is smooth lightly sweet in the beginning. Hints of oak, caramel, vanilla.
This rum is not extraordinary. But it is good. In all aspect: easy to drink, nice, not too strong taste, great flavours, not too alcoholic burn, fairly cheap and even your friends will like it who never drank a decent rum. Have one in your cabinet, it will never let you down.
Venezuelan Solera rum.
Light Oak,vanilla and caramel.
En lille 8’er fra min side. Åbner sig rigtigt fint op af at stå i glasset 10 mins tid. Dejlig fin smag med lidt kant.
The box, the bottle, THE COLOR. All is soo beautiful. Taste is strong for real men, not for weak!
The Rum Barrel Review
"On the nose there’s a lovely dark profile. Fresh ground coffee, dark chocolate, caramel, vanilla, plums. There are some tropical fruits like pineapple and passion fruit, followed by a slight grassy note. Nutmeg, old leather, tobacco and white pepper. On the palate it goes down so easy. Milk chocolate, vanilla, honey, mango, toffee and cashews. Canned pineapple, blackcurrant, coconut cream and coca cola. The tobacco note is back along with some cinnamon. Not crazy sweet, fairly well balanced and easy going. Cocoa butter and orange marmalade. Towards the end is where you get a bit more oak spices and some alcohol heat. The finish is short with cocoa nibs, some oak tannins and maple syrup."
Has a nice light sweet vanilla note.
"Spicy notes and a oaky lavour are very pleasant and not overpowering."

A very smooth slightly sweet buttery tasting rum. Very delightful sipper over ice. Zafra 21 rum is my favorite but Santa Teresa1796 would be my next go-to. You won’t be disappointed with either rum.
