Sailor Jerry Spiced

For years I was a 'Capt and Coke' guy. Sailor J changed that. It has more depth than Captain, is just as smooth and has a higher alcohol level. No brainer. I rank it high for what it is...a great spiced rum for mixing.

If you life a nice light spiced rum this is the best option! It may not be as harsh as others but the flavour overall is fantastic!

It's not rum. Just a coloured vodka with a bit of taste.

When I got into Rum, I was told the best stuff was the Maritime recipes. Later in life, I was made aware of the Sugar Cane rating systems for Rums, and have agreed with what I’ve tasted. Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum is such a smooth, spiced rum, that I honestly prefer it over Many of the Spiced Rums out there!

Aside from a slow sipping rum, it’s perfect when you want to spike your hot tea before bed! The complex flavors pairs perfectly with Chamomile Teas with a touch of honey, and also with your Ginger Teas.

For anyone who’s looking for something enjoyable to drink straight, or add it to your teas, this is perfect. I don’t think however, that this would be a good rum to mix with your colas, as it’s already just too sweet from the jump.

If you want a rum that tastes good, reasonably priced, and can out you on your ass, Sailor brings it. A solid spiced rum with not a lot of fan fare.

This is another one of my favorite rums. Nothing special that makes it stand out above the others but it is a very sold tasting spiced rum. Always consistent in taste and always available at stores.

Not a real sipper (only of there is nothing else left !). Perfect in a cocktail or on the beach !

This will put hair on your chest. Or at least you'll wake up with hair tattoed all over your chest. Another college favorite but like college trash's top shelf rum. Again, always go spiced with cheap rum to cover the cheap flavor a bit.

I was initially attracted to Sailor Jerry rum because I have a friend with an original Sailer Jerry tattoo. His style was classic Polynesian. Actually, the rum turned out to be very good, either mixed or on its own. Vanilla/caramel taste, but very understated. No burning aftertaste. Excellent in the spiced rum category.
