Sailor Jerry Spiced

Smells of alcohol and cinnamon. Flavor follows suit. Unmixed it always gives me a headache.

A bit too harsh aftertaste, but very palatable with ice

Its a step above the capitian is all I can say. You get what you pay for. Drinkable in a pinch however once you have had better rum you will never buy this stuff.

Like vodka with sugar and vanilla. Must be careful or you will have massive hangover.

Quite literally. The main flavor that will immediately dominate this rum when tasted is vanilla. It gives way slightly to other spiced notes but unless you really paying attention the vanilla will just give way to the acetone finish. Useful for mixing but wouldn't be my first choice.

Might be to harsh to drink straight. Add your favorite soda and its very enjoyable.

I love Sailor Jerry the tattoo artist, his style was bold, classic and you could pick it out of a crowd… just like the rum named after him.

This stuff was recommended to me by a friend as her favorite rum. I was expecting some pretty good things as she was a bartender for close to 10 years. I like the bottle and I also like that it came with a print of Sailor Jerry's flash on the inside of the label.

The smell was instantly concerning to me, as it barely even smelled like rum at all but rather more like vodka, and a really cheap vodka at that.

The taste was even worse, which is truly very little different from cough syrup. I've heard the trope about low quality cough syrup liquors but never actually tasted one until I tried Sailor Jerry's.

Would not recommend to anyone.
