I’ve only just started getting into agricoles so this one is strong choice. Made from locally sourced sugar cane. Great flavors, smooth, minimal burn. A great flagship rum from this distillery.
This would make a good ti punch from Louisiana, but sipping neat would be out of the question. The yeast is supposedly sourced from the island of Guadeloupe. Maybe I am spoiled by all of the Martiniquan rhum agricoles that I have tried because I cannot rank this one near the top of my list. It is good, don't get me wrong. I just wonder what this would be like after minimal aging in oak barrels, 3 years at most.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This Agricole makes a great Mai Tai and is an easy sipper. Not over grassy though.
