United States | Spiced | 35% ABV
Launched in 2011, Bacardi Oakheart is the newest addition to the extensive Bacardi collection.
This spiced rum is aged for 1 to 2 years, filtered using a proprietary process, and then flavored with various spices including maple, nutmeg, cinnamon and honey.
Bacardi Oakheart took over two years to name and more than 2700 names were considered. The winner, Oakheart, is a reference to the charred American white oak barrels that house the rum while it ages.

Nice orange flavor and goes great with coke.
One of the affordable rums that is a nice mixer and passable in the rocks.
(If you like oranges)
This is a very sweet rum but has a very inviting taste of vanilla. This is one to mix with coke, ice and a lime wedge rather than drink neat, in my opinion.
I didnt expect much from bacardi, Im not a fan tbh. But it was quiet good, same rating as Brugal Anejo and Barcelo Gran. Smoky and easier to sip then Brugal.
I was able to taste this before release, and at the time it was very satisfying with a lot of potential. Upon further review, I realized my naivety. The name is awesome. It feels special and knowledgeable all while giving off pirate vibes. But that’s all it is, just an image. There are far better spice rums with more spirit and purpose than oakheart has to offer. The pricing is also less than favorable considering the brand we are reviewing. Regardless, people can enjoy it. I just don’t see why you would go out of your way for this when you can do better for finances and flavor.
I recommend this to anybody who wants to be introduced to drinking rum, relatively low priced and great taste. Can be enjoyed on the rocks but better enjoyed with a mixer. Also a great base for cocktails
I mean, if it's there fine. Would I seek it out? No. Would I spit it out? No.
'oak barrels to impart a rich and smoky taste'

Smooth but it is also very sweet.
"There's a slight burn of alcohol and the spicing is maybe just a bit too much. There is also a slightly jarring aftertaste. It’s a bit smoky and oily."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
