Bacardi Gold rum is manufactured in Puerto Rico where it is distilled from fermented molasses. It is then filtered through charcoal and aged in charred oak barrels for between 1 and 2 years. Unlike Bacardi Superior, Bacardi Gold is only filtered once.
Bacardi's official logo, a fruit bat, dates to 1862 when founder Don Facundo Bacardi found fruit bats living in rafters of the building he bought to house the distillery. Bats are considered an omen of good luck in Cuba and have emblazoned Bacardi rum bottles ever since.

Well this "rum" is only for mixing. What i've done once by a friend, who only got this rum, was I put ice in it, so the taste wasn't so strong in mouth than usual. But this cannot be called a rum, even if it cost less that 15β¬

Like the tilte, not pretty but good too mix with cola ! not very expensive, don't have ANY expectation for it !
Easily consumable in a bind - yep, this is true. Too harsh to drink it without somethings
My first Bacardi bottle. I remember reaching the bottom with my cousin and saying "damn maybe we should have gotten a bigger bottle. With Coke it wasn't bad but it wasn't great.
I would place this rum right there with Captain Morgan's Original. Good for standard bar stock, not really suited for drinking straight but makes a decent mixed or fruity drink. Nice flavour no unpleasant aftertaste.
Popular & cheap. Mix with Coke.
Looks more like a sipping rum as it ended up being.. dont bother..

This is a generic rum, closer to a colored vodka rather than a rum, thumbs down
