favorite rum, buying at Barcelona airport at a good price amazing good too.
Ron Botran 18 is lush, decadent and hedonistic. It smells of ripe banana, caramel, dates, and shortbread cookies along with a slight vegetal note. Pure dessert on the palate with crème brûlée, and ripe fruits such as banana, peach, and pineapple. Dried leather is found as well. The mid-palate is fun and seductive while the finish is sweet and seems to linger endlessly. A must have for those who like sweeter styles of rum.
This is not a comeback, but was good for while it lasted.
Le nez développe une dominante de vanille et de caramel.
La bouche est bien marquée par le bois et la vanille, mais aussi des notes de banane et de caramel.
La finale est très aromatique jusqu'au bout.
got this rum for my wedding, pleasant taste, but must add i'm somewhat of a rum assassin, i still can't get myself to drink rum neat most of the time, i will always be a rum and coke lover and yes i dare mix a good or expensive rum with my coke. i've been blasted countless times for doing it and i've heard every reason available why i shouldn't. what can i tell you? you know better than me? your sipping makes you a better critic? i might as well use bacardi? i'll tell you how it is, if a rum is awesome, it will also make my rum and coke awesome, and if that's what i like, sorry to hurt your feelings lol
Straightforward and okay. Is not the perfect sippin rum as advertised. Not bad, but better alternatives for the same price.
It’s not bad, but it’s not good either.
Quite dissapointed.
I had high expectations.
It looks good on the paper. Guatemala, solera, made in the same building as Zacapa etc.
But it’s simply not a complete top notch rum.
Quite sweet with some strong notes of smoke and tobacco leaf. .
"It’s much spicier on the palate than the nose. It has a very nice bourbon like sweetness in the mid palate which is as nice as it is surprising."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The alcohol is very present in the aftertaste, but in general a well bodied ok rum. Not amazing, not horsepiss
