Botran Solera 1893 18-Year

Un bon rhum, facile à trouver, accessible tant en terme de prix que de goût, pas de parti pris extrême... Je ne le trouve pas "épicé", contrairement à beaucoup, mais très équilibré, et facile à boire tout en ayant un réel plaisir.

Tasty rum but I would not expect this much burn for the price point. Still definitely sippable, though.

I am not able to drink this without Coke and lemon. Dry, flat, alcohol and water.

Vona velmi malo vyrazna, slabe naznaky melasy, vanilky... V chuti pomerne dost preraza alkohol, rum je skor suchsi, viac citit drevitost suda. Povedal by som, ze je to priemerny, nicim vynimocny rum, nezaujal ma velmi... Flasu by som si nekupil...

Alcool présent. Rhum sec avec une certaine rondeur. Note de caramel et d'épice.

Better average, not surprising but you'd be able to drink it the whole night long.

Der Geruch des Ron Botran 1893 Solera ist gut, der Geschmack dagegen 0815. Positicv: nicht nachgesüßt, jedjeInsgesamtoch fehlt Frucht und v.a. Raffinesse. Insgesamt kein schlechter Rum, ohne großartige Ecken und Kanten, aber am ehesten zum Mixen geeignet.

For its price it is reasonable but I had to add ice and/or coke. Don’t have the balances needed to drink it as a brandy

Disappointment. That's the first and last feeling about this. First you taste watery alcohol, then bit harsh biting. Finish has some fruit and warm, but with oaky note. Drinkable, not even near worth the price.

The flavor is similar to the higher level Botran Solera 18, only without the sherry aspect. A competent albeit boring molasses and wood, can extract burnt sugar when giving it a proper mouth wash.
