Bacardi 8-Year is a blended rum, filtered using the Bacardi-pioneered charcoal filtering system and aged for eight years.
This rum was not released to the public until 1995, when the first limited edition Bacardi 8 was sold with a sherry oak finish in a Baccarat crystal decanter. Despite a price tag of $400 per bottle, the rum was hugely popular and led to the larger release of the blend without the collectors' features and price.

Good rum from the Bacardi house, you can drink neat or use as mixer
Not very nice to drink this pure, if you like to drink pure than try el dorado or diplomatico in this price range

This is one tasty rum! It is my go to rum for tiki drinks when you need an aged puerto rican rum. Ok for sipping!

From all alternatives created by Bacardí Family, this one is my favorite. Perfect for neat sipping due to marvelous notes on tropical fruits, oak and sweetness on palate. You can mix it but it will be a crime; just sip and enjoy.
Good for sipping and mixing cocktails. Dark color and good taste.
No complexity, watery, alcoholic smell and taste. Not sipper but maybe a mixer.
Very Smooth, great flavor on the rocks or neat. An all around great rum at an affordable price

Another rum that was recommended everywhere so tried on offer. In fairness, it’s pretty decent and mixed well too. Will be repeated one day but hasn’t forced its way above others waiting to be tried
