All great stories have an inspirational beginning, the same as Añejo has been for Ron Abuelo. It’s our youngest rum, both in age and spirit. Añejo is a fun and enjoyable first impression to our Panamanian rum making tradition. Where all the great stories begin.

It smells like a mix of gasoline and tequila but it tastes damn good! The flavor was delicious and semi-complex, it was sweet and it was as smooth as silk. There was no real burn of bite and it had a quick finish. It was great for some nice, smooth shots and for the price, it's a steal!
It’s okay. Probably not going to purchase twice. Good smell, okay taste. Feed it to your guests
Nicht süss, nicht mild, nicht fruchtig. Auch nicht zu scharf, dann ist sonst auch nichts besonderes...
An easy and decent choice for the price. Easy to drink. Smooth in all ways, Somehow “Grassy” and a little bit “watery” but still manage to warm you up in a good way. However it has a strong whiskey reference, therefore is a good suggestion if you like whiskey. Lacks of complexity but is a decent choise in the price range, especially if you find the standards in these category (like plantation original dark etc) too sweet.
I bought this one in sale so I wasn't expecting much, but after first sip I was literally shocked. Despite It's entry lever price has this rum what to show. It's aroma is very light and sweet so It's taste. This rum can compete with much more expensive rums. Very usable for daily drinking. For this price It's fantastic choice.
Es un Ron donde al probarlo, no tienes claro de qué específicamente estás tomando Ron, le falta un poco de consistencia.
Very real, down to the earth, no ungrounded ambitions. Can't find it under ten euro, it is about sixteen here, yet does stand this mark allright. I guess, comparison to the whiskey or bourbon is valid (rums often do mature in bourbon casks, you know). And yet it has that tiny special charge to it, that makes you check this position on the shelf again, to find it's gone. How come, isn't? Found larger bottle at another place, might be different batch, makes next direction to explore. In solid enough and affordable manner.
UPDATE:
Next stop did happen: 1L container spotted elsewhere actually did contain another batch, possibly from the year before, or such. And it happened to make even better experience, upgrading my valuation. Well-balanced and unobtrusive, this is where you may want to land, seeking for your next. Actually, lack of distractions does it serious service. If you want that rum-offset, charged with vanilla, ice-cream, caffè latte and what's not - this is NOT the case. This is down-to-the-earth mix of spirits, ramificated in the casks of fate. No more, no less, real rum without fancy tails attached.
NEXT UPDATE: Unfortunately, only one last btl left after couple of months of tasting and refining valuation.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Suprisingly good for the price, it feels still impossible to call it a good rum overall. Aftertaste is dry. Sometimes it developes a fruity note than it is flat and simple again. I will not buy it again.
