The esters in this bottle fill the room and make it fragrant as only a Hampden can. Butterscotch, butter rum. Fruity flavor. It's both obvious that it's a Hampden, yet... I did a side-by-side with seven representative Hampdens, and this one is something special.
I desperately want to make simple cocktails for my friends with this. But given how scarce it is, that just isn't going to happen. Get it while you can.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Got this as a gift from RhumAttitude when ordering some other bottles.
It’s a 10yo blend from three different casks from Hampden, distilled in 2007.
The nose isn’t very strong, but it’s possible to recognize fruits and esters and there’s also some funkiness.
At the palate there’s more funkiness and it’s possible to recognize fruits, berries, esters and citrus.
Compared with the 8yo Hampden’s it’s much smoother and less funky and heavy.
