Light wood and citrus on the nose. Tastes of orange and sweet fruit but just too sweet for me. Even when tried as a mixer, the fruit cane bursting through.
I will quote Rasmus as I couldn't say it better, although I give it a slightly better rate - maybe having tasted it on the beach in Belize, country where it is made, helped it taste better!
"Nose: Oak, spice and molasses
Taste: Oak, apricot and butterscotch
Overall: This is not the most complex of rums, but it is pleasant and it is affordable for everyone. I would recommend this as a daily sipper, if you want to try something new."
5 Barrel is premium aged rum. Made from Belize’s finest sugar cane, specially cut and crushed to retain its natural flavors, this spirit contains superbly matured blends. From the cellars of the Master Blender, Don Omario Perdomo, 5 Barrel features rum aged in Kentucy Oak Barrels over a period of 5 years enhancing the natural character of this premium brand. A rich amber facade alludes to the character and accomplished flavor of this finely aged rum.
A full bodied spirit, 5 Barrel has been aged and refined to create a well rounded taste. The smooth finish elicits a lasting freshness that massages the palate, particularly when savored straight or on the rocks.

Nice burn for this underproof 36% rum. Sitting on a deck overlooking rainforested canyon you cant go wrong. A little raunchy but will grow on you as works it's magic. Nothing fancy, pirate rum.
Vůně - 3/5 - příjemná vůně
Chuť - 4/5
Příjemně hřeje.
Good but maybe better mixed! Light bitter notes
Some oaky
An ok rum, nothing special, but also not bad. Leaves a weird aftertaste when drinking neat, so not quite sippable, but not far off. Works well for mixers.

Beautiful golden amber color
Aroma: warm sunshine, apples and raisins, vanilla. This is an aromatic rum.
Flavor: metallic switches to butterscotch, and ends with a nice vanilla note
