Pyrat XO Rum is produced from nine different Caribbean rums that are blended and then aged up to 15 years in used American sweet oak barrels.
The squat Pyrat XO rum bottle shape is inspired by the typical design of rum bottles kept by pirates and ship captains in the 19th century.

Reminds me of Anguilla. A wonderful rum for everyday drinking. Nothing fancy, just good.
Neurazi, nevykopne z trenek. Na masovu konzumaci vyborny.
First impression? Yuck. After two hours - aha lets keep this one for the special guests
Great tasting rum however you want to try it. If you like rum this has to be in your collection and a daily drinker
As one reviewer noted, it goes from terrible to pretty tasty IF you let it out long enough. The let it breathe weirdness prevents me from giving it a higher rating.
Light intense ochre-yellow in the glass.
High intensity in the nose with aroma's of mainly orange peel. Also some spices, but very well hidden behind the orange curtain.
On the palate, soft and smooth start. Here again the dominating orange peel and some spices.
This is a powerful rum that might be dominated by orange flavours, but it has a good mouth-feel, is well balanced and has a long finish.
I see some culinary opportunities with this one (eg roast duck).
Rum reminded me of Don Papa with the orange aroma's
Nice but closer to a orange flavored liqueur then rum. Not to sweet and tasty.
"Had wine not been the drink of choice 2,000 or so years ago, Jesus would have probably turned every drop of water on earth into Pyrat Rum XO Reserve"

"it’s like an orange Chuck Norris came through the joint, belted out a roundhouse kick to the face..."
"Pyrat XO rum review by Lance from RumConnection"
A very definite hit of oranges.
"The orange taste is very much at the forefront and the burn leaves behind a bitter tang of orange peel."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label
