Pyrat XO Rum is produced from nine different Caribbean rums that are blended and then aged up to 15 years in used American sweet oak barrels.
The squat Pyrat XO rum bottle shape is inspired by the typical design of rum bottles kept by pirates and ship captains in the 19th century.

Saturated alcohol, chemical citrus aroma. Not a very good quality product
Enjoyed this while on a Princess cruise when the bar had it. Mixes very well with Diet Coke. Kind of on the smooth side with not a lot of burn.
Looks nice, but I'm not into it... artificial orange means it feels a bit fake to me. But if you dig that, fairplay...I will try it again..one day...but not going out my way to.
This rum is very interested. It has a strong orange and alcohol aroma. It appears that many have noted this as slightly artificial. When tasting, it is very sweet and fruity on the front end. The fruitiness is actually a bit pleasant for the price point. Once again for how cheap this rum is, it is surprisingly smooth with a medium burn or warming sensation at the end. Too many interesting flavors to be a mixer but not special enough to be a standard sipper. I am not quite sure where to put it. A fun gift to give someone who wants to try rum but remember how sweet this actually is.
Another sugar bomb, it's drinkable but you can't say you are enjoying it.
I’ve read some of the reviews here, especially noting a couple comparing it to a cleaning solution. When I first took the cellophane wrapping off, pulled the cork and and smelled it, I can kind of see what they are saying about the cleaner, but I didn’t think it was terribly bad. Taste wise, for me, it’s not bad. Not the best but far from the worst. Gave it a 6. Wish I could give it a 6.5 because I think it’s a little better, but not quite a 7.
Nice packaging. Medium sweet taste. I wasn't that impressed by the smell.

A very definite hit of oranges.
"The orange taste is very much at the forefront and the burn leaves behind a bitter tang of orange peel."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I enjoyed it mixed. Simple Rum & Coke as well as Cuba libre. Not enjoyable neat. Decent for mixing though.
