Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV
The Great British Admiralty first served rum daily to its Royal Navy sailors over 300 years ago until the ration was abolished in 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias bought the recipe rights, formed Pusser’s Ltd. in the British Virgin Islands, and for the first time made the rum it available for public consumption.
Pusser’s British Navy rum today is the same blend of five West Indian rums as the British Admiralty issued to sailors.
Known as the “single malt of rum” Pusser’s British Navy rum is pot stilled using a similar method as that for single malt scotches, and with no artificial flavors is 100% natural.

This is an enjoyable rum but not one of my preferred rums to enjoy neat. As everyone knows this is the Rum of choice for a delicous pain killer and I even enjoy it in a piña colada or a Rum Runner. Cheers
This one has some spice to it...Great Dark color....I tried it neat and it was smooth, added a splash of soda and it actually ruined it. Next gonna make a PainKiller....then the party starts.
Unfortunately I tasted this one after i tasted the overproof version (silly mistake) so it felt really plain to me but I am sure it would be much better otherwise. Still if you see the overproof next to it, grab the overproof .)
Spicy and strong rum but equally well balanced and tasty. Great for mixing, baking and sipping. Didn't lose it's qualities with the new packaging, percentage, label and name.
Color- tea , nice color . Nose-I'm getting molasses , licorice with a bit of alcohol . Pleasant . Taste- same as nose , a bit astringent to the tongue , but not to bad . A nice sipping rum . Did not like it with coke . Much better neat
Sturdy and straightforward. Strong, alcoholic nose with some fruit and wood notes. Clears the "hair" off the tongue. Decent slow-sipping rum. Neither as mellow and seductive as some, but a no-nonsense spirit.
A very good rum great mixed but not to hot to sip straight.
Original tot served to sailors

It has just the right balance of sweet.
"The rum is rich, warming, sweet, slightly oaked with hints of black pepper and allspice."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

A bit too much alcohol on the front end to stand on its own as a sipper, but Pussers is ideal for cocktails.
