Virgin Islands, British | Aged | 40% ABV
Pusser’s British Navy Rum 15-Year is a blend of five rums from Jamaica, Guyana, Trinidad and Barbados which are produced in mainly wooden pot stills. The blend is aged for 15 years.
The company derives its name from the British Navy 'Purser' who distributed a daily 'tot' of rum ration to each sailor - a tradition which lasted from 1655 until 1970. In 1979 Charles Tobias obtained the rights to blend the original recipe of the British Navy Rum.
Pusser's British Navy Rum is casually known as “Nelson’s Blood” as a nod to the famous death of Admiral Nelson. After being mortally wounded in a naval battle in 1805, Nelson’s body was preserved in a barrel of rum.

Heavy rum that will surprise your taste. Price higher but I do not regret buying
This is awesome rum if you are in the mood for it. My first experience was not too good but second one revealed all possibilities of this rum.
Aroma has sweet notes a taste includes tones of orange and smokey wood a bit reminds me whiskey. But all that round and smooth and very enjoyable.
Very nice. Reminded me alot of the eldorado and considering it is a blend including Guyana im not surprised. Very smooth with almost no burn to it. I got lots of dark caramel and some fruity almost like you get from sherry. Nice oak and vanilla but not overpowering. There was a hint of baking spices and cinnamon but not too pronouced.
The color is very nice amber with thick legs when you swirl it around.
I tried it in a mind eraser and it was much better than the original style. I wouldn't waste it in other cocktails though it is better striaght up, no need for water or ice but feel free if you prefer.
A beautiful blend, with lots of spices and a strong assertive wood and liquorice finish.
You can actually taste the portion of the blend originating from Demerara Distillers Port Mourant Wooden Pot still, which as been part of every Navy Rum blend from the past 200 years. So in a way this is like a travel back in time in a bottle.
It's price here in Quebec is the drawback. It actually went from approximately 80$CAD a few months ago to now 97,25$. For a few dollars more, I can get the El Dorado 21, which is 100% Guyanese and just overall more flavourful and complex.
Still a must for the serious collectors
Despite it being warming stuff this is surprisingly smooth and can be drunk neat but I prefer with ginger beer.
After I really enjoyed the Blue Label Pusser's I decided to buy one of the 15yo for 35€ on amazon, what was really reasonable and a great price. Normallly this Rum is more in the 45-50€ area. And yes this Rum has everything. Deep, complex smell, heavy long lasting taste. The only questions is, if it is worth to pay the double price of the Blue lable, which is yet great.
Loaded with added sugar, which completely masks this rum's true flavors. Big disappointment.
Molasses, wood and iodine on the nose. This carries through to the palate which also has a wonderful acidity present, to leave a really mouth watering drop. The length is persistent if a little medium bodied. Sophisticated, complex and a really good rum. 8½.
Very distinctive rich fruity slightly malt like.
"The flavour bursts through it is rich and fruity but it also has that dry almost whisky like note. ."
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

I love this rum. It has been hard to find in Canada but with good friends state side I get this as a wonderful Christmas gift. A very fine flavour like a true rum should be.
