Don Q Vermouth Cask

This is heavy on the vermouth, which I love. Adds a beautiful complexity and richness to the rum, without being cloying or too sweet.

Rum zraje 5 - 8 let v prvně plněných sudech z amer. bílého dubu a poté ještě zraje 4 - 6 měsíců v sudech z italského dubu po vermutu Mancino Vecchio.

Aroma: Nasládlé, lehce gumové, zvláštně sladko-nakyslé
Chuť: Nasládlá, bonbónová
Dozvuk: Sladký i kyselý, středně dlouhý

Dle mého nejslabší Don Q - vůbec mi nesedl svou bonbónovou sladkokyselostí.

Well balanced aged rum with and incredible finish saturated of cherry aromas!

this is not a traditional rum. very strong vermouth smell and flavor. very fruity and sweet backed by vanilla and oak and a tad spicy. smooth and chewy texture. it tastes like a rum manhattan. you should throw a luxardo in it and enjoy neat or over an ice cube. haven't mixed yet but will. drank neat out of a glencairn glass.

Good sipper. Seems kinda light. Only 80 proof, but seems hotter.

I admit, I’m not a Don Q fan but this is an interesting bottle that finds a place at my bar. The Vermouth finish is mildly pronounced even without it on the label. Very smooth nice addition to our tasting last night. Will try as a rum Negroni, or martini next time.

Good pleasant smell. Better avarage taste with strong finish.
