Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Quite nice rum, perfect for sipping. Not too sweet and with complex taste and rich body.
Really impressed with this.I ended up with this by accident as i wanted the Dictador 20 but could not get it .The smell coconut and bourbon are the main ones for me but the coconut is not over powering its just enough nothing like a Malibu. The taste same as the smell for coconut and bourbon a really good mix with no burn its the smoothest aged rum i have tried .really really nice rum for sipping
Super univerzální rum, díky zrání po koňaku (plantation klasika) velmi jemný, volty nejdou vbc cítit, lehce sladký, méně než např. Diplomatico ale určitě není suchý. Za mě poctivejch 8,5 váhal jsem nad 9.
Extremely smooth with a hint of vanilla. Not overly sweet but this rum doesn't really need it.
Doesn't try to hide the aftertaste because it's delicious.
Not a mixer, a sipper, no afterburn.
Easy to enjoy without being dull or boring. On the sweeter side of the spectrum, but that's just a bonus if you prefer it that way (like me).
Very Smooth, not (too) sweet, and with a very gentle burn.
To me, it taste better than it smells (other Rums like RL Seal's smell better than they taste). It is more fruity (Ananas, vanilla, apricot) that dark/leathery/liquoricy to my taste.
The after taste is subtle and very slightly bitter. This is so far my favourite with the Zacapa 23.
It might not be very important but the packaging is great and the bottle is very, very nice (wooden cork crown, thick bottom, nice shape). It will make a nice trophy!
Enjoyable on it's own or with your favorite mix. Tastes of vanilla and caramel but not overpowering. Outstanding and one of my top choices.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

One of my favorites. Sweet vanilla and coconut... almost perfect all the way.
