Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Bought this one after a friend of mine recommended it to me.
Can’t thank him enough
Spectacular rum
Good rum, very smooth. I find it best chilled/neat. Cinnamon finish and sweeter than I anticipated but nice taste overall.
Very sweet, bit artificial and harsh on the tongue. Lots of burnt sugar, coconut and vanilla. Can enjoy a bit, but mostly it is too sweet and artificial for me, can't drink much of it.
According to some other reviewer on this site, I might have a 'fake' version though, based on the cork of my bottle. Don't know if this is true.
- Vůně - Příjemná vůně
- Chuť - Sladká, mango a vanilka
- Celkově - Před lety to byl můj první Plantation rum. Celkově 8, ale kvůli nostalgii dávám 9
Vynikající, velmi jemný rum s chutí banánů, vanilky a kokosu. Nic nepřeslazeného. Velmi výjimečný zážitek který nemůže nikoho urazit. Výjimečnost navíc podtrhuje i nezapomenutelné provedení lahve.
Einer meiner liebsten Rums. Weich, fruchtig, etwas Vanille, etwas Kokos. Wirklich toll!
Love this special edition Plantation rum. It leans a bit on the sweet side, but it is an exceptional choice and addition to any connoisseur’s cabinet.
From bottle presentation, to nose, to taste, there is nothing bad to say about this fine rum.
Truly a top notch choice.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."

Very even taste, I just don't understand why such a crappy cork should be used for such a classy bottle.
