Multiple | Aged | 40% ABV | Pot and Column Still
Plantation XO 20th Anniversary rum is a combination of pot-stilled and column-stilled Barbadian rums that are initially aged in the Caribbean in ex-bourbon casks for 12-20 years. They are then transported to France for a second 12-18 months aging in small French oak casks.
The first bottle of Plantation XO 20th Anniversary was created for the head of Cognac Ferrand Estate Alexandre Gabriel to honor his 20th year running the company. This special gift has resulted in the bottling we see today.

Smooth for the rocks as rum should be, very bold embodied sweetness.
Rich flavour and very smooth. Rivals rums twice it’s price
It's a good rum, but for me it is not a rum I would buy again. For the price there's better rums out there.
In this price range I prefer Zacapa 23 over the Plantation XO Asiverssary. The Zacapa 23 Solera is a bit more creamy, which I prefer. And the zacapa has a better longer finish (chocolate notes). But this Plantation XO is a must-have for any rum enthusiast!
In general is soft and nice to drink, it won't bring any disruptive flavour, but it is sweet beyond balance.
Výborný základní rum, vyvážená chuť. Svěží. Ani silný ani slaby
I purchased it because of the good ratings here. The bottle is nice, the color also. In the smell you can feel vanilla. The taste is smooth and has some coconut flavor at the end. All these sound nice, but I missed the "wow this is a good stuff" feeling. It is a nice rum, but I was expecting more.
It tastes pretty much like a coconut liqueur.
"An overly sweet saccharin note which make the rum taste artificial. ."
