One of the more balanced rums I have tried. Not overly sweet like some rums but you can tell its a rum. It taste older than its age. Strong flavour with some wood. Its good but for some reason i don't love it. It reminds me of appleton estate reserve and I give the edge ae.

Good nose, moderately spicy, just a hint of a medicinal finish.

Un petit verre de ce rhum assez spécial en bouche fait du bien de temps en temps, un gout marqué qui laisse une emprunte plutôt agréable.

I bought this rum taking in mind rumratings rates, despite my friend's owner of my local liquor store negative advise.. I am not disappointed but also not fully satisfied.. expecting more from the price..

excellent designed bottle, nice coloured, but lack of aromas and complexity, more spirit sense..
don't thing I will buy again..

I remeber drinking this for a year ago and I loved it. Drank it again today and it's somewhat meh actually.
Bottle and packaging is really nice and the colour of the rum is nice deep amber, beautiful. Had the Botran solera 18 just before this and the texture of the botran rum feels thinner. This rum feels a little bit more thick and oily - which is a good thing for me. It's very sweet and has lots of caramel and vanilla in the taste.

So 8/10 first time and 6/10 this time - 7/10!

I wanted to like it more, nice presentation, nice color, but as a sipping rum, for me, average. Nice to try, try before you buy.

Cool presentation with the leather bag, dark and quite smooth

I was a bit disappointed of this rum, after I was told so many good things about it. It doesn't have many interesting aromas and a strong tast for alcohol.
