Pampero Aniversario was first crafted in 1963 to commemorate the Pampero company’s 25th anniversary. The rum is a blend of rums ranging in maturity from four to six years and aged in whisky and bourbon barrels.
The Pampero distillery was founded by Alejandro Hernández of Venezuela in 1938. The brand is now a division of the world’s largest liquor holding company, Diageo.

Smooth and subtle the taste sneaks up nicely as it goes down
Not my favourite. And we have it here twice (both are Reserva Exclusiva).

This rum is probably most known for its packaging, so I did not have the highest of hopes for the content within the bottle, but it actually turned out to be better than feared.
Nose: Caramel and coffee with a slightly nutty background
Taste: Molasses, cinnamon and a slight hint of tobacco in the back of the mouth
Overall: This will not change your view of what a great rum is, but it is a pleasant and non-complex rum, ideal for a night in with friends or for mixing in a Cuba Libre.
Pampero Aniversario Reserva Exclusiva has it all for a perfect evening. At first it has a smell of alcohol, but after a minute the smell of toffee and vanilla takes over. It tastes sweet and caramelly, with a smooth burn of alcohol. In the aftertaste a hint of tobacco.
Very good rum for a very good price. Full taste, good odour
Vu une fois en petite quantité mais impressionné par les première gorgées.
Smooth rum. I got warm flavours, like nuts, rich pudding. Yet i got a bit of a quickly taste. Not for mixing imo, instead, sip slowly.
Quite light and buttery.
"It’s a pleasant nose which suggests good ageing and there is a light oak to the nose which is well balanced."

I am in general in favor of rum from Venezuela. this small bulb bottle is already the third bottle of the same in my cabinet. light but nice taste, not too much of an after taste, I like it.
