Like the others it has that burn which you may or may not like.
Dominant vanilla in the aroma, for the first time in the ECS series. Some raisins can be smelled too. The taste is vanilla, slightly cocoa. Very weak fruitiness, which can be a plus and a deviation from the standard ECS line taste, but theres lack of another layers. A little sweetness. Simple dry rum. It will find its fans, but it didn't appeal to me that much.
Rounded with a slightly sweet intro. No roughness, no inconvenience. I'm happy because it's not the last bottle. .,.,.,. Сказочный аромат. Вкус маслянистый, сладкий, с приятной терпкостью. Весьма крепкий и сухой ром пьётся не запивая. Абсолютно нормальные ощущения в голове и теле, тепло. Он настраивает на позитив.
I love this one. There are notes of vanilla, cherry, and toasted marshmallow. It’s sweet, but not too much.
It is one original rum because it have some salt notes and something make a bridge between rum and whiskey ! I cosinder the whiskey of Barbados rums ! If you do a blind taste and you don’t know is a rum you probably say is a whisky !
It is light and fruity with notes of fortified wine.
"Gently, well balanced spice and oak mingle along nicely with just enough of the sweet fruits and sherry notes."

Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

The successor to the well made and very popular port cask finish. This one has ten years of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry barrel aging under it’s belt, weighing in at 46% vol. The nose is potent with sherry notes of ripe dark plum and cherry’s but also leather, tobacco and deep oak. There’s also a hint of brine. The palate is fairly powerfull, opening with notes of dark candied plums and tobacco, quickly fading into raisins, oak, brine and sawdust. It tickles the cheeks for a while, with the oaky note lingering in the mouth. It’s a bit more demanding then the first version and perhaps not quite as balanced but still a a very decent no nonsens rum.
