The nose is light, with toffee, green apple and traces of tobacco. The taste is also light, starts sweet, with toffee, green apples, and turning a nicely into sour apples, the aftertaste is, maybe the strongest part of the whole experience as it lasts for a while, again this curious mix of toffee and green apples. The emptied glass has some traces of wood. The overall feeling is, this rum is a bit too light to be truly entertaining, maybe some sugar has been added, but on the other hand not too much of it (10gpl maybe), this thing is actually not that bad for the money (price level of Captain Morgan). The review is based on 0.05l sample. My first Cartavio, will try others.
It is good aroma, like a Cartavio 12 year. But the taste is too light and dry.
The decent smell of rum: barrel, alcohol, cane, vanilla, apple.
The taste is dry, oily, tart. Noticeable alcohol burn. Becomes sweet with the second sip.
Not rude and not a holiday.
I liked the purity and strength of character of this rum.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

Sweet scented. On the palate, mild vanilla and light toffee mostly. A little more burn than wanted. Good price point. I could have given it an extra half point for that. 4.5
Cheers!
