Dos Maderas Seleccion

Aging in different sherry give very complex and long taste.

Sweet Rum very smooth ; a bit too sweet for my taste but still complex and evolutes a lot
Remembers me Z23 but more complex and with several dried fruit aromas ; figs very present ; chocolate as well and caramel finishing

Besser mit Eis trinken. Starke Alkoholnote. DOS Maderas Tripleaged gefällt mir besser.

According to the bottle, this combines the 5+5PX with a "ten year old blend of finest Barbados and Guyana rums." It is a Solera, so it is smoother than you'd expect for its age. Sweeter than I usually like, but I think a lot of folks would love this with a big ice cube as an "old fashioned in a bottle. I don't think it's enough of an improvement on the 5+5PX to seek it out to pay more, but I'm glad to have tried a glass.

god duft. Starter lidt tyndt, giver sig lidt mere til kende efter lidt tid

This rum was on my shelf for some time. I finally got occasion to taste it and it was not bad, bud it dissapointed me a little.
The flavour and aroma is very melassa like, but it is not very sweet. The alcohol burn is stronger, that I would expect.

So my first sip was like "wow, it's incredible". But next I drank a variety of other rums, read this and that about spirits and... couldn't get out of my head feeling that Dos Maderas is just too sweat. That the whole mouth and overall experience is shadowed by sugar.

I'm giving it 7, I'll gladly drink it again somewhere, but I'm not sure if I'll buy a whole bottle by myself again. Better stick with Botucal or Plantation.

Now this is a real sweet one...Coffee, vanilla, kakao and some sherry...afterburner goes into caramel and some wood....i really do like sweet rums but this is a bit to sticky...Love it or don't
