....was man doch manchmal so ganz nebenbei beim einkaufen findet.

... what you sometimes find in the way of shopping.
The rum itself has a nose like you know it from the old days, when there was a stiff grog in the cold season, according to the conditions --> Rum must, sugar may and water can (spoil everything) <-- :D or translated for the North Germans and islanders --> Rum mut, sugar may, Water bruuk not <--
There are many different, partly slightly sweet, spicy smells and partly floral smells coming into your nose. A nice light note of wood is also noticeable. The 65% also come very easily into the nose, but since the alcohol is well integrated, it is not disturbing.
The above mentioned components come to the fore again and in the mouth a nice furry impression is still present.
The finish is then pleasant and the nice slightly sweet spicy notes remain for a while.
The rum tempts you to take another glass, because the 65% are really hardly noticeable.
.
The aroma opens with arrack, buttercup, roasted nuts and dried apricots. The taste follows the scent but adds honeycomb, grass, milk chocolate and vanilla. The finish is very long and fades in almost creamy tones.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

This one should be a mix ofJamaica and Barbados.
The nose is spicy and is dominated by Worthy Park. I get all kinds of bananas (dry banana chips), honey, grasy notes, young oak. It reminds me of the 4y WP from The Rum Cask.
It's not a complex nose, but very fruity and fresh. I like it.
The taste starts with all kind of bananas. It's a young rum and it turns immediately spicy. Alcohol is tingeling on my thongue. Then I get some honey and grasy notes. There are also some bitter notes.
In the middle is more honey and bananas, some tannins and the taste is still spicy.
The finish starts also spicy with the same aromas we had before.
I don't get any Barbados flavors. This rum is dominated bei WP. It's fresh and spicy, I think it's not more than 5y old.
I would rate it with 76 points.
