At 68,6% alc. this is not surprisingly an intense expirience. The nose is a little medicinal but also contain notes of caramel, oak, tobacco and earthy leather. It’s not untill you start sipping that the demon reveals itself. Holy horse, this is intense. The same notes from the nose explodes in your mouth alongside wooden lacquer and dry figs with a tannic finish. It might not be perfectly balanced and the alcohol is definately present, but is drinkable and still kinda nice on a cold stormy night.
Good flavor, slight strong alcoholic after taste, not the best Nicaraguan rum I have tasted.
Try to get a well lit shot from the front of the rum label

When you get rums that have been bottled from a single barrel, you automatically can´t have that many bottles. This one has very few bottles, even for a single barrel selection, since only 39 bottles hit the market.
Nose: Caramel, oak, leather and a funky medicinal whiff that rounds it off
Taste: Very intense with many notes like oak, figs, caramel, leather, coffee and a hint of citrus in the back of the palate. Long and lasting aftertaste.
Overall: I really like this rum. It is strong, intense and powerful with lots of taste. It gives the perfect warmth for you on a cold winters night.
